JKSSB Exam Update 2026: Junior Assistant Rescheduled & Admit Cards Released for Home Dept

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a series of critical updates regarding upcoming examinations and final selection lists.  Major Update: Junior Assistant Exam Postponed

For candidates who applied under Notification No. 08 of 2025, there is a significant change in the schedule. The OMR-based written examination for the post of Junior Assistant has been rescheduled to give candidates more preparation time.

• Original Exam Date: February 22, 2026

• New Rescheduled Date: April 05, 2026

Note: Ensure you adjust your study plan to account for this extra month of revision.

 JKSSB Admit Card 2026 Update: Home Department Posts

The board has confirmed the examination schedule for various technical posts within the Home Department. If you are appearing for these roles, mark your calendar for February 18, 2026.

How to Download Your Admit Card

Admit cards will be available on the official website (www.jkssb.nic.in) starting February 14, 2026.

1. Visit the official JKSSB  website portal.

2. Download Admit Card PDF ” link available on the home page

3. Log in using your Username and Password and click submit.

4. Download or Print a clear copy of admit card  to bring to the center.

 Important Updates for students

To ensure a smooth experience at the examination center, candidates must follow these strict protocols:

• Reporting Time: You must report to the center at least two (02) hours early for Biometric and Facial Authentication.

• Troubleshooting: If you cannot download your admit card, visit the Board office at least two days before the exam with proof of application and fee payment that you have submitted .

• Identification: No candidate will be allowed entry without a clear printed copy of the E-Admit card.
